The 2015 edition of European mobility week shares a common cause with the campaign for intermodality of means of transport and Bike to work.
The European mobility week this year makes common cause with the campaign Do the right mix. The slogan of this year’s topic is Choose. Change. Combine. It invites people to use the means of transport in a multimodal way, i.e. choosing the smartest option or even combining more than one solution instead of driving a private car. An example? Using a private vehicle to get to a train or metro station, reaching the destination station and maybe using the bike-sharing system for the final stretch.
A new way of thinking about transport and move from point A to point B whilst doing other amusing things: taking the bus to read news in the newspaper or in your smartphone, riding a bike whilst doing physical activity and, why not, finding the love of your life on the tram. By choosing the means of transport suitable for every situation you can even save money, protect your health and the environment.
