A journey of other a thousand kilometres into the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, in close contact with nature and local communities, to see first-hand the green areas safeguarded by LifeGate and Icei as part of the project Stand Up Forests.
This is the concept of the Wild Expedition. A photojournalist, chosen by the project's staff amongst hundreds of applicants, had the opportunity of documenting the environmental work and transmitting to LifeGate's community the emotions stirred by the enchantment of the lands where 27 families of the San Pedro community live.
The fundamental aim, therefore, was to share the passion, effort and results, whilst offering the possibility of coming into contact with people. For hey are the true protagonists of this project, given that the environmental safeguard activities have a positive impact on the the lives of local communities that depend on the forests for their livelihood.
The first expedition
