BMW has been active in Italy since 1973. The modern Logistics centre in Volargne, in the province of Verona, has been operating since 1994. Since 1998, BMW has its central headquarters in San Donate Milanese, in the province of Milan, in the building designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, together with BMW Bank, dedicated to financial services for Clients and Dealers, and Alphabet Italia, specialised in fleet rental and management. To the HQ are subsumed the dealers in Milan and Rome, in which Roll-Royce Motor Cars is active. Italy is the seventh market worldwide for the Group's cars and the third for motorcycles.
