LifeGate Event offers training days to interested companies and agencies on ISO 20121, in order to put them on the path to sustainable events certification.
ISO 20121 is an international standard specifying the requirements for an event sustainability management system.
The ISO 20121 "Event Sustainability Management System" standard is the result of the international extension of the British BS 8901, "Specification for a Sustainability Management System for Events", developed in 2007.
ISO 20121 was first applied during the London 2012 Olympics, which became a symbol of excellence. The standard defines the requirements for developing an event sustainability management system, providing an outline within which organisers and their suppliers can organise sustainable events and institute a rapport with stakeholders.
