The restoration of the Alzaia Naviglio Pavese (the canal's towpath), a historical site of the city of Milan, began in April 2012. A small green lung composed of native shrubs: hawthorns, privets, blackthorns, wild roses, viburnums. Some shrubs even have their own personal names: those of people who have adopted them.
Thanks to LifeGate you can donate or dedicate a plant to a partner company, collaborator or client. By doing so, you associate your brand to a concrete and trustworthy sustainability initiative with an immediate outcome: a high quality restoration of an urban area of Milan. Moreover, you gain visibility: a customised tag with your company's inscription will be placed on the plants you adopt.

Who you can dedicate plants to
Your employees: businesses can dedicate plants to employees' newborns, for marriages or retirements. It can also involve its employees in the project directly, for example through awareness campaigns.
Your clients: through this social marketing initiative you can incentivise your clients and consumers to purchase your goods or services by donating part of the revenue to plant adoption.
The locality: through the restoration of the towpath the relationship between your company and the local area will be strengthened thanks to on-site visibility achieved through signposts and the opportunity to use the location for company events.
The first Green Km of Milan's Naviglio Grande was restored and is being preserved thanks to the participation of the following businesses: Gruppo Davines, Terna Spa, Ales Groupe Italia, American Express, L’Occitane, ABB Italia, Sodastream, MITO SettembreMusica and CHEP Italia srl.
Due to interventions for Expo 2015 in the area, it is currently not possible to access the Green Km and plant adoptions are suspended.
However, LifeGate is authorised to carry out on-site visits in order to verify that such interventions are not damaging plants already adopted by citizens and businesses.
